Rep. Keicher enjoyed volunteering as a guest server on Monday at the annual Meals for Moms luncheon to benefit the Voluntary Action Center of DeKalb County. Held at St. Mary’s Memorial Hall in Sycamore, this special event fundraiser is held the Monday before Mother’s Day each year and gives the community an opportunity to enjoy lunch with their mom, siblings, friends or others. Local “celebrity” servers help provide lunch catered by Voluntary Action Center’s own Premier Catering in a beautiful atmosphere with a raffle of fresh potted plants and musical entertainment. The proceeds from this event benefit Voluntary Action Center’s Meals on Wheels program.
