State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) shared an announcement from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) today that the DeKalb Park District has been awarded a grant in the amount of $413,000 from the 2020 Illinois Public Museum Capital Grants program for stormwater management, roofing, and exterior lighting projects.
“Improving our local parks and services is important for local families. The DeKalb Park District has done a lot of great work recently and this grant will enhance their efforts,” Rep. Keicher said. “I am excited to see the DeKalb area continue to earn benefits from our most significant bipartisan achievement in the past two years, the Rebuild Illinois capital program, which I voted for and helped to pass in 2019.”
