State Rep. Jeff Keicher and State Rep. Keith Wheeler sponsored a Prescription Drug Drop Off collection event in Sugar Grove today hosted by the Sugar Grove Police Department, collecting over 100 lbs. of unused prescription medications. The representatives would like to thank Police Chief Pat Rollins for his partnership and the dozens of local residents who drove up to drop off bottles and bags of prescriptions. All medications collected at today’s event will be incinerated in accordance with DEA guidelines. Giving Illinois families a safe and convenient way to get rid of unwanted medications in their home helps to prevent opioid abuse and contamination of our water supply.
