State Representative Jeff Keicher, R-Sycamore, issued the following statement ahead of Illinois’ first annual Sweet Corn Appreciation Day to take place on Monday, August 1st:
“I am very excited to be celebrating our first ever Sweet Corn Appreciation Day on Monday! Sweet corn is a summertime favorite for my family and for families throughout Illinois. In order to fully appreciate sweet corn, we also need to recognize the people who make it possible for our families to enjoy it – local growers and family farmers. Thank you for bringing this delicious snack to our tables year after year!”
