A message from Rep. Jeff Keicher on the first day of Hanukkah:
I want to wish all my brothers and sisters of the Jewish faith a happy Hanukkah 2023.
I know the Festival of Lights this year takes on a deeper meaning given your recent history. As we look to the past year and reflect, it is my hope that those unaware reflect on the history of this celebration and the origins centered in a reassertion of your faith, in your Second Temple and in your homeland in the times before Christ, who was also a Jew.
I wish you peace, strength and resolve.
