The Illinois Chamber of Commerce congratulates Representative Jeff Keicher for receiving our Bridge Builder Award. The Bridge Builder is our newest award which recognizes bipartisanship and collaboration in the General Assembly. Today’s release is the second of four to be issued this week.
Keicher, a member of leadership, quickly accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments that have earned him respect and admiration from both Republicans and Democrats. Some of his notable achievements include the passage of a new law in 2019 to expand the availability of mammogram screenings, as well as enacting a package of economic reforms that led to the creation of thousands of well-paying local jobs including at Meta’s Data Center in DeKalb. Since then, Leader Keicher served as a member of the Commission on Poverty Elimination and Economic Security, collaborating closely with local stakeholders and community leaders throughout the state. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, Leader Keicher has accumulated over 25 years of professional experience in the insurance industry. In 2006, he established his own State Farm Insurance Agency in Sycamore, which has grown into a successful and expanding agency in DeKalb County, serving the northern Illinois region.
“Leader Keicher symbolizes what we need more of in the state, legislators that work across party lines to impact lives, his demeanor and impact are key reasons why we are glad to bestow this award upon him,” said Lou Sandoval, President and CEO, Illinois Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to our continued collaboration with the Representative in the upcoming session.”
