Following an assassination threat made against State Representative Jeff Keicher just before his office was scheduled to host their annual senior citizen health fair along with other local legislators in July, the difficult decision was made to cancel the event. It was a situation Keicher never imagined he would have to face while serving as a State Representative.
Thanks to the DeKalb, Sycamore, and Illinois State Police, the perpetrator of this threat was quickly apprehended, and no harm came to Keicher, his staff, or any members of the community. For which Keicher expressed sincere gratitude.
This morning, Keicher appeared before the court to deliver a victim impact statement.
