Area residents wanting to clean out file cabinets and help the environment are welcome to bring their documents and papers for safe and confidential shredding at a free Community Shred Event on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Jewel-Osco parking lot across from Sun City, 13200 Village Green Drive in Huntley.
Hosted by State Rep. Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore), State Rep. Joe Sosnowski (R-Rockford), and State Sen. Dave Syverson (R-Cherry Valley), the free Community Shred Event is open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Please note that this event is for residential document shredding only (limit of three boxes per resident). No electronics will be accepted.
