State Representative Jeff Keicher (R-Sycamore) was honored this week by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce for his work during the 103rd General Assembly. Keicher received the Bridge Builder Award for bipartisan leadership and the Champion of Free Enterprise Award.
“I am truly humbled to receive this recognition from the Illinois Chamber of Commerce,” said Keicher. “As a small business owner, I know firsthand what it takes to build a successful business and how important it is to have an environment in our state that allows Illinois businesses to create jobs and thrive. When our businesses have the opportunity to succeed, it creates more opportunities for our families and communities to prosper, and I am honored to be able to advocate for that prosperity in the General Assembly.”
The Bridge Builder Award is a special recognition given to only one member of each of the four caucuses in the Illinois General Assembly (one Republican and one Democrat in the State House and Senate). Keicher was honored for his bipartisan leadership in working across the aisle to create an environment that fosters business and economic growth in Illinois.

The Champion of Free Enterprise Award is given biennially to Senators and Representatives with Illinois Chamber voting ratings averaging 85 percent or higher over the previous two General Assemblies who have demonstrated their commitment to legislation that frees the entrepreneurial spirit.
Joining Sandoval to present the awards to Rep. Keicher were Illinois Chamber Director of Government Affairs Keith Wheeler, who also previously served alongside Keicher in the House, and Hampshire Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jeanie Mayer.
