Speaking on the House floor, State Rep. Jeff Keicher called out overly burdensome Democrat policies that have caused Illinois’ unemployment rate (4.1%) to remain more than a full percentage point above the national average (5.2%). The higher-than-average Illinois unemployment rate equates to more than 70,000 additional lost jobs and the loss of a cumulative average of $4.2 billion in wages that could be going to workers and Illinois’ economy.
