Keicher Says Illinoisans Need Relief, Not More Tax Increases

Speaking at a press conference concluding the first week of the fall veto session, State Rep. Jeff Keicher noted frustration that House Democrats have once again used the few days legislators had for more political gamesmanship and closed-door meetings to figure out how they’re going to raise taxes again. Keicher pointed out that if Illinois were growing and generating economic activity at the same rate as our neighboring Midwest states, Illinois would be generating a quarter of a billion dollars more in GDP per year.
