Rep. Jeff Keicher and Rep. Tom Demmer met with workers and toured the Byron Generating Station in Ogle County on Thursday, a visit organized by IBEW Local 15. Rep. Keicher and Rep. Demmer are working to protect local jobs at the Byron plant, which is slated for closure in September 2021 by parent company Exelon. Keicher and Demmer emphasized their commitment to ensuring that Byron workers have a seat at the table and a voice in the discussions about Illinois’ energy policy.
