Human trafficking and sexual exploitation are much more pervasive than many of us realize. Every day, even here in Illinois, even in “safe” communities, human trafficking happens.
As an advocate for victims and a legislator who has backed several pieces of legislation to crack down on traffickers and support victims, State Representative Jeff Keicher said he is pleased to see ISP forming this new enforcement group.
If you suspect someone may be a victim of trafficking, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888, text to 233733, or email ISP at [email protected].
