January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, and a reminder that we all have a role to play in preventing this heinous form of modern-day slavery.
“I’m proud to have sponsored and supported legislation to hold offenders accountable, support survivors, and protect victims of human trafficking across Illinois,” said State Representative Jeff Keicher. “While our state has made great strides in combating this crime, there is still more to be done.
“This month, I encourage everyone to learn the signs of human trafficking and what you can do to help.”
