State Rep. Jeff Keicher presented the Friends of Shabbona Lake State Park with a $500 grant on Wednesday to repair and repaint the swing sets on the shoreline of Shabbona Lake for the safety and enjoyment of families. The grant is courtesy of the Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus (which is funded by donations, not taxpayer dollars.)
Shabbona Lake State Park is one of DeKalb County’s most vital natural resources and recreational destinations.
